The first year of Bracchi’s new era ends on a high note. In the course of 2023, the Argos Climate Action Fund entered the company’s capital with a majority stake, aiming to transform Bracchi into a leading company in decarbonization. Anima Alternative SGR and Clessidra Capital Credit SGR, along with a group of Managers, co-invested alongside Argos in the operation.

Just a few weeks after this ownership turning point, CEO Umberto Ferretti presented excellent data for 2023, following robust growth: the company’s turnover had already increased from €137 million in 2019 to €189 million in 2022. Consolidated turnover in 2023 reached €202.1 MILLION (+7%): for the first time, the group surpasses the €200 million turnover mark. EBITDA also increased (+15%), along with EBITDA margin (+10.1%). There was an outstanding result on the net financial position, which grew by +209%. This was all thanks to increased investments (+13%, reaching €6.6 million), and a careful employment policy that pushed the number of employees beyond 650.

The announcement of these data comes at an important moment for Bracchi, as the logistics site in Lonigo, in the Vicenza area, is about to be inaugurated, a facility destined for one of the group’s fastest-growing sectors, fashion.

Currently, Bracchi operates twelve logistics hubs and seven regional offices, totaling 370,000 square meters of warehouse space across various facilities in Italy, Germany, Poland, and Slovakia. The headquarters is in Fara Gera d’Adda, in the Bergamo area, with warehouses also in Osio and Castrezzato (both in the Bergamo and Brescia areas, respectively), the latter being a LEED Gold certified logistics space. There’s also a facility in Sorbolo (in the province of Parma), specializing in oversize transportation up to 100 tons. In the Veneto region, there’s a regional office in Bassano del Grappa, along with four strategically positioned warehouses in the provinces of Vicenza, Padua, and Verona. In this area, the company focuses on services dedicated to the fashion and lifestyle sectors, including warehouse management, quality control, refurbishment, packaging, and ironing of garments from major Italian fashion houses and beyond.

Our growth is not over, and it will have an increasingly GREEN footprint,” declares CEO Umberto Ferretti. “Our decarbonization plan, to be executed over the next 5 years, will lead Bracchi to achieve a 33% cumulative reduction in emissions. We will act across all aspects of the GHG Protocol, with major interventions focusing on the use of the latest generation BIOFUEL HVO for transportation, the installation of photovoltaic systems, the purchase of energy produced 100% from renewable sources, and significant actions in green procurement and awareness-raising among customers, suppliers, workforce, engaging all stakeholders involved in our value chain.
